This not only means celebrating our diversity and children's self identity, but also what it takes for each child to learn. Everyone is a different learner who comes from different backgrounds and it is our job as teachers to adapt our lessons them.

5th Grade

0830- 0840 Beginning of Day procedure, talk to classmates quietly, pledge 

0840- 0850 Gratitude Journal

0850- 0950 Reading Lesson (Grammar and then on own)

0950- 1000 Dance Break (pull up youtube video)

1000- 1050 Math 

1050- 1100 Coloring/ Read a Book

1100- 1150 Science

1150- 1200 Lunch Attendance/ Walk to Lunch

1200- 1230 Lunch 

1230- 1300 Recess

1300- 1400 Art

1400- 1430 HW Time

1430 Dismissal


Positive Consequences

If they do something positive (set an example for classmates, help a classmate, turn in homework on time), they get a sticker

 5 stickers --> a piece of candy 

10 stickers --> prize from treasure drawer

50 stickers --> homework pass


Corrective Behaviors

1st Warning (Verbal Don't do that)

2nd Warning (talk one on one with the child)

3rd Warning (Talk to the parents)

4th Warning (Send them to office to talk with the principal)
